Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is enrollment open or are there specific times of the year to enroll my teen?
A: The schools have an open enrollment policy and can accept students year round based upon the teens pre-approved acceptance. Not all students who apply are accepted. Please contact your Admissions Representative to make sure your teen has been accepted. This is the first step in the enrollment process.
Q: How quickly can my teen be enrolled?
A: In most cases it takes a minimum of 24 hours of working with your Admissions Representative to complete the enrollment process as long as your teen meets the enrollment criteria. Some families are working within a tight time frame and in most cases this can be accommodated. Please contact your Admissions Representative for assistance in filling out the enrollment criteria form either online or by phone to make sure your teen has been accepted for enrollment. Q: What is the average length of enrollment?
A: The program is based on the student’s results, meaning it depends on the individual student’s willingness to comply and commit to working and creating positive results. The average length of stay for program completion is 12-16 months. Some programs allow short term placement (3 months) with evaluations after the shorter term, but generally the longer stay is needed to establish long-term results. Your Admissions Representative can give you a general idea based on your teen’s specific background.
Q: Once I make the decision to enroll my teen, how do I get them to the school?
A: Your Admissions Representative will assist you through different options for getting your teen to the school. Each situation is different. Some students will come voluntarily, while others will not. While we can give you recommendations on what may be best in your specific situation, we will let you determine what you feel is best for your teen.
Q: My child may turn eighteen while enrolled at the school. Does the school have the legal right to keep them from leaving after their eighteenth birthday?
A: No. By law, an eighteen year old person is considered of legal age and may discharge him or herself from the school. “Exit plans”; however, may be arranged in advance between the school and the parents to facilitate a smooth transition between the school and the next step in the student’s life. Many students choose to remain at the school beyond their eighteenth birthday as they are set on accomplishing specific goals not tied to their physical age.
Q: If my teen enrolls in the middle of a school term, will they have to repeat academic work they have already done?
A: Upon admission, the Academic staff will request and review your teen’s transcript from their previous school. The school will accept any credits previously awarded. If a student has failed classes which are necessary for completion of high school, your teen will be required to repeat only those classes.
Q: Is the School Accredited?
A: Yes, we only work with accredited schools. Please visit the schools official website to see where their specific accreditation is awarded through. The schools award high school diplomas versus GED’s.
